One Day Intensive Black & White Photography Course
Full Day Course - £155
Learn the craft of traditional black and white photography and darkroom printing with Finn Studio in Colyton. This intensive one day course takes students on a journey from the basics of loading and using a classic 35mm SLR camera, shooting on film in around the East Devon countryside, to finally developing your own black and white prints in a darkroom.
With a maximum of three students per class this course allows one on one tutorials of all technical and creative techniques to produce beautiful B+W images. Taking place in a professionally equipped ventilated darkroom, the course will cover everything to get you up and running to becoming a proficient analog photographer.
All SLR cameras, 35mm film rolls, photographic paper and chemicals are provided but do feel free to bring your camera if you prefer.
The course involves walking through the East Devon countryside to take pictures so please bring appropriate clothing and footwear.
Note: If the weather is too bad to go outside, the studio at Finn Studio can be used and a still-life photography workshop will take place.
Between taking photos and developing there will be an hour break.
There is coffee shop attached to the studio where you can buy artisan coffees, teas, cakes and soft drinks.
